Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) International

Founded in 1988, Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRI) is the oldest and largest nonprofit organization that helps companies and government agencies around the world prepare for and recover from disasters by providing training in business continuity and risk management.

DRI International has certified more than 20,000 resilience professionals working in more than 100 countries and 95% of Fortune 100 companies.

DRI International offers 15 individual certifications, including the globally recognized CBCP certification, and certifies organizations as resilient businesses.

DRI Italy

Disaster Recovery Institute International has been in Italy since 2008, the first country in Europe. Since then, DRI courses have been delivered in Italy under the DRI Italy brand.

DRI Italy courses are taught by instructors who are certified by DRI International and come from corporate and consulting backgrounds in business continuity.

The mission of DRI Italy is to promote the awareness and skills of Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery and Cyber Resilience specialists active in public and private companies of any size. Check out our Calendar of Courses!

Continuitaly™

DRI International operates outside the United States through affiliations with local companies. In Italy the exclusive affiliate since 2008 has been PhoenITx srl, which delivers DRI courses and certifications under the DRI Italy brand.

PhoenITx Ltd. also provides consulting services in Risk Management, Risk Engineering, Business Continuity Management, IT Disaster Recovery Planning and Cyber Risk Management under the brand name Continuitaly™.

Continuitaly™ also provides training and professional development courses not provided by DRI International, but sponsored by DRI Italy, which enable the continuous updating of Italian specialists in organizational resilience.

DRI International is global

DRI International trains and certifies Business Continuity Management specialists based on DRI Professional Practices 2023 first published in the 1980s and subsequently updated several times so that they remain current. The current version, also available in Italian, is from 2017.

DRI International also publishes DRI Glossary , a document that collects all definitions used within this discipline.

DRI International offers training programs ranging from introductory to master’s level in a variety of specialties and in multiple languages; online and in-person continuing education opportunities; and an annual conference dedicated to the profession of resilience. DRI supports charitable activities through the DRI Foundation.

DRI provides independent analysis and standards-neutral technical advice for governments and international organizations as the voice of the resilience profession.

DRI is a standards development organization accredited by theAmerican National Standards Institute (ANSI), acts as an International Organization Liaison Observer to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee 292 that manages ISO 22301, is a Training Provider of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies (NICCS), and a Partner of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction ARISE Initiative.

Our certification programs are recognized by various government agencies, including the U.S. Federal Government through the Montgomery GI Bill and the GSA Schedule.
