Our roots
DRI was established in 1988 to standardize and homogenize operational ‘disaster’ preparedness and response activities, at first particularly in the information systems area.
The goal from the outset was to create a body of knowledge (the ‘Professional Practices’) that Disaster Recovery or Contingency Plsnning specialists, as they were then referred to, could use in all industries and in all countries.
DRI later expanded activities abroad and created specific solutions and methodologies for different industries
